For Caterina Palma (born and raised in Milan) the Valdichiana was the sweet land where she used to spend the summer holidays in the family farm. But with the years the vineyards, the noises, the scents have begun to exercise an uncontrollable attraction that has led it to a single, unexpected goal: to produce her own “wine.”
“I love everything in this area and my estate,” says Caterina. “And I love my wine because it reflects, with honesty, what surrounds it.

Super-Tuscans are simply wines that shunned the typical Tuscany grapes in favour of international varieties, in this way losing the DOC or DOCG appellations. The gamble paid off in spectacular way: think of Sassicaia; Tignanello; Ornellaia etc…
Caterina Palma’s take on the renowned ‘Super-Tuscan’ concept is quite simple: very low yields; long fermentation followed by French oak ageing for 12 months.
The result is such a reflection of the estate that she decided to use her and the two daughters’ name: CAterina, MARgherita and GIorgia – to name Palma flagship wine.
A great way to explore the concept without breaking the bank, this wine is pure elegance.

Decanting recommended, it matches a variety of meat dishes.
