Description

Jordan River is located on a remarkable landscape, at an altitude of 840 meters over an extinct volcano on Mountain Heights Plateau, Jordan’s most fertile region.
Snow melt flowing from Jabal Al Arab resides under the volcanic desert and gives life to over 40 types of grape varieties. The Jordanian climate, with over 330 annual days of sunlight, and the volcanic soil of the Mafraq Plateau provides our vines with the minerals and conditions to flourish and produce the “Real taste of Jordan”.

JR Wines are the proud product of the Haddad Family’s long history in the Middle East. Our vision is to place Jordan on the world map of wine and revive Jordan’s wine making history that dates back to 30 BC.

From the 2011 harvest, a selection of carefully handpicked grapes from the oldest vines in Jordans Northern Highlands and Mafraq Plateau were aged for 35 months in a variety of individually unique French Oak Barriques.
Only 5052 bottles have been produced.

A full bodied wine with ruby red colour.
A blast of black fruit and dark chocolate aromas complements the flavours of blackberries, blackcurrant, and black pepper.
The long ageing in barrique rounds the tannins of this majestic Cabernet and infuses hints of vanilla and oak with a wonderful smooth finish

Serve at room temperature within 15 years. It goes well with short ribs, brisket, steaks or strong cheeses. Decant well before serving.
