Description

Friuli is the North eastern Italian region bordered by Austria and Slovenia.
Talis takes its name from the Friulian word for “dandelion”, which spreads its bright green, yellow and white carpet between the rows of the vines the cling to the hillsides.
This winery is the joint-venture of six independent micro-growers ‘captained’ by Mauro Cencig – actually, 6 friends and their families that decided to join forces.
Each producer has a small B&B with attached vineyards and almost all of them produce a wide variety of grapes.
During regular meetings and tastings (and large amounts of food) they reach the conclusion of whose grapes to use for each wine: the “Talis” label is reserved for the export and only the best of the crop is used (the rest goes to the local market).

Drink cold within 2-3 years. It matches a variety of light dishes as well as non-spicy Asian food.
